Notice: The Bureau of Land Management announced it is cancelling the 10-million-acre mineral withdrawal for the Greater sage grouse across six western states.
We were notified directly by Department of Interior Secretary Zinke's office and members of the Western Caucus.
This withdrawal, put in place by the previous administration, was never about conservation of the species, but rather an attempt to shut down resource development and public land use.
We have a full coverage on this development in our November 2017 issue.
